Quick Fingers - Review

Do yous think that yous've got fast reflexes? Quick Fingers for Windows Phone is a gaming application that will put even the fastest of fingers to shame. It reminded me a little of the Moron Test just on steroids.

The concept is simple. Quick Fingers presents you with various tests spread over fifteen levels that gauges your reaction speed. Move too tiresome, you lot fail. Don't tap the screen enough, you lot fail. Luckily, there are 3 levels of difficulty (easy, medium and hard) to lessen the agony of defeat.

Follow the break for more on Quick Fingers and a video demo.

Choose your levels carefully

Equally mentioned, Quick Fingers offers 15 levels of play with three difficulty levels (chosen in the Settings Menu).  The Easy Level can be extremely humbling and Medium will merely brand you feel sometime.  The Hard level is but apparently embarrassing.  My suggestion, outset tedious at the Easy level and piece of work your way up.

Once you lot choose your difficulty, then you choose your examination. The tests are progressive and once you complete a test successfully, yous can re-test yourself from the principal menu.

Before each examination, Quick Fingers volition give you lot instructions and when your ready to tackle the claiming, tap the screen to take the examination. Read the instructions carefully. It'southward easy to let the excitement and anticipation turn into tunnel vision. The tests are graphically well presented and include uncomplicated tasks equally tapping the a circle when it turns green.

And some of these tests are tough. Some require a reaction fourth dimension measured in the mili-seconds or multiple taps inside a set time frame. If y'all neglect a test, you can always retry from the "fail" screen.  Others calls upon your powers of observation and evaluation in addition to your speed.  One exam has you lot tap the screen as fast as possible merely when a dark-green rocket appears.  Tap the screen later on the green rocket leaves the screen and you fail.  Tap it when a rocket of some other colour appears, you fail.

Should yous fail a test, you lot'll take the option to return to the main menu, retry the exam or salve your score for posterity sake.

Overall Impression

Quick Fingers is a fun app to tinker with merely it can be so difficult at times that you lot can observe yourself loosing interest quick. I could see Quick Fingers being a conversation piece or a means to some friendly contest but every bit a solo game, I just don't come across it having much staying ability.

Graphically the game is well presented and it ran smoothly with no bugs, glitches or crashes experienced. The tests themselves are interesting, challenging and definitely will show you how slow your reflexes actually are.  Those that throw in an evaluative measure will non only make y'all experience slow but also door knob dumb.

There is a costless trial available for Quick Fingers to let you try it before you buy information technology. The full version volition run you $.99 and you find Quick Fingers here (opens Zune) at the Marketplace.
